Please join us on Monday, October 24th for a free online seminar devoted to a discussion of the changing landscape of scholarly communication and scientific publishing. The speakers (John Wilbanks, Heather Piwowar, and Molly Keener) will address what STM subject librarians and other information professionals should understand about the changing nature of publishing. They will address how librarians and information professionals can better communicate with our patrons and researchers concerning many of the issues. This online seminar takes place on the first weekday of Open Access Week. The seminar is co-sponsored by the Physics-Astronomy-Mathematics Division and the Academic Division of SLA.

2:00PM EDT — Heather Piwowar is a postdoc researcher at NESCent through the DataONE cyberinfrastructure project and the Dryad Digital Repository. She studies current practice in scientific data sharing and reuse to inform policy decisions.

3:00PM EDT — Molly Keener is the Scholarly Communication Librarian at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. She has written several articles concerning library support of NIH Public Access Policies.
